Mumbai: The crime department of Mumbai Police on Thursday arrested a former CEO of the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) from Pune district within the pretend TRP rip-off case, an official stated.
Partho Dasgupta, the accused, is the fifteenth individual to be arrested within the case associated to alleged rigging of tv score factors (TRPs) by some TV channels.
He was arrested by Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) from the jurisdiction of Rajgad Police Station in Pune district and shall be produced earlier than a courtroom on Friday, the official stated.
Earlier, the CIU had arrested former chief working officer (COO) of BARC Ramil Ramgarhia within the case, amongst others.
